about me

why i coach...

...One of my favourite NLP quotes is"If you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got"....

Having ridden since a child and competed in British Eventing up to CCI1* and British Dressage to Advanced it was becoming qualified in NLP that initially sparked my love of coaching riders to improve their riding experiences – whether that experience is competing in affiliated BE events, having their first jumping lesson (at whatever age!), or simply hacking out confidently on their own.

Through my own riding experiences, my training as a BE Accredited coach and my NLP Master qualification I came to see how simply focusing on building basic correct foundations creates confidence and self-belief.

I apply a simple and honest approach to coaching these foundations and love seeing how it can transform a riding experience at any level.

how i coach...

"If you want something you’ve never had, then you’ve got to do something you’ve never done."

...I work WITH the rider to help find different results and solutions. That could be teaching a classical approach, or helping to find an alternate mentality, or by increasing the rider’s confidence and ‘feel’, but always patiently and honestly developing understanding equally between horse and rider.

I use a combination of observation, coaching, NLP, teaching, discussion (and possibly coaxing!) to aid the rider in finding the magic that happens outside their comfort zone!

I am never happier than when sending both horse and rider away from a session smiling!

what i coach...

"We can’t solve problems using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them... so I'm here to help find different thinking and different solutions!!

I run clinics in all three eventing phases, plus polework and gridwork in a variety of locations. Check out What's On to find me near you.

There are off horse sessions, workshops and courses, contact me for details of these if none are listed.
